THIRD ANNUAL JIM HALLAHAN 333 AT BRISTOL

Paul Strickland Jr January 30, 2023

iRACING: Ryan Messer’s first win of the TCM Special Events season was a big one, nailing down another crown jewel event with his victory in today’s Jim Hallahan 333. Of the 25 lead changes, the final one in the 333-lap race was on the last lap after he and then leader Caden Tufts came together. The contact sent Tufts for a slide and Messer to the win after the incident was reviewed.

Mike Alexander was second in the event with Tufts third. Mitchell Montgomery recorded his best TCM Special Events finishes with a fourth place run with Braxton DeWeese fifth in his first race with TCM.

Thirty-six drivers attempted to qualify for the event. DeWeese set quick time in qualifying. Tanton Wooldridge, Alexander and Messer took home heat wins. Last Chance Races were won by Jake Goodwin and Montgomery. The feature saw 15 caution periods and took one hour, 56 minutes to complete.

Messer joins Noel Fougere (2022) and Jon Fitzpatrick (2021) as winners of the Jim Hallahan 333 at Bristol.

The TCM Special Events returns in March with several events leading into the TCM All Star Showcase on April 6th, 2023.
