Friday Night Thunder Has Meaning Again For Lee USA

VT&NH Racing News VT&NH Racing News February 18, 2026

Friday night thunder will once again mean something in Lee, New Hampshire during the 2026 summer months. Lee USA Speedway was founded in 1964 by Bob Bonser and was known as a dirt tri-oval named Lee Raceway. The raceway operated through 1964 to 1979 where the track then closed due to financial problems. Kenny Smith, Charlie Elliott and Russ Conway purchased the Lee Raceway in November of 1982. The three gentlemen already owned Star Speedway, and the Hudson Speedway. They made early plans to tear down the Lee Raceway and rebuild the track into the now days of Lee USA Speedway, the 3/8-mile oval, known as New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.

In 2026 New England powerhouse owners Cris Michaud and Tom Mayberry leased the Speedway in hopes to not only bring cars back to the track, but put fans back in the stands. ACT & PASS released back at the end of 2025 that they would be bringing back a full 18 race schedule to Lee USA next season. New England’s top touring series will come together to open up the 2026 season on April 24th, and 25th for the return of the ACT New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 and the PASS Strafford County 150. The Pass Modifieds and NELCAR Legends will round out the April weekend card. May 22nd, the season opener for the Lee USA weekly racing series kicks off in style with a 100 lap event for the Super Late Models, and the first visit for the 350 Super Modifieds. Super Streets, Ridge Runners, Six Shooters and Crown Vics will round out the opening night card.

May 29th, and June 5th will host two back to back weekly race shows just ahead of the Modified Racing Series return on June 12th, for the Seacoast 100 featuring racing action from the weekly Super Late Models, Super Streets, Ridge Runners, Six Shooters and Crown Vics. June 19th, will bring leg #2 of the ACT Seacoast Late Model Challenge to Lee USA with a 100 lap main event, plus another visit from the fan favorite 350 Super Modifieds. June 26th, will give the fans another action packed night of weekly racing before the Seacoast Late Model Challenge returns for the Firecracker 100 on July the 3rd ending with a Fireworks show.

Second and Third week of July give the fans some big Super Late Model shows to keep an eye on as July 17th, host the Test & Tune 100 for the weekly Super Late Models, one week before the Friday Night throwdown 200 for the Pro All Star Series Super Late Models. Also the New England Super Modified Series makes its first appearance at Lee USA Speedway for their only test race before the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic in August. July 31st, and August 7th, will bring back two weekly race events before the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic for the New England Super Modifieds on August 21st, that will also see racing from the NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lights, 350 Supers and Super Late Models. Racing action will return back to New Hampshire’s Center of Speed on September 4th, for the Lee USA Speedway Championship Night featuring all weekly divisions.

Although the track will have already crowned its 2026 division champions, Lee USA won’t be quite ready for its long winter nap. October 16th – 18th the track’s famous Oktoberfest Weekend will wrap up the first season under the leadership of the American Canadian Tour and Pro All Star Series. The ambitious three day show will feature racing action from the Milton CAT American Canadian Tour, the Pro All Star Series,  ACT Flying Tiger Twin-State Series, PASS Modifieds, NELCAR Legends, NESS Super Mods and much more. The full Oktoberfest weekend schedule will be released at a later date by Lee officials. The VT&NH Racing News is excited about covering the full 2026 Lee USA season schedule.
