A notion of intense focus from all of the drivers that had bought pit passes earlier. The sense of competitiveness that only race car drivers can exhibit. Bobby East and the Mopar Mafia\/Cash Motorsports team had returned on the day that Dodge announced Kaulig Racing as their flagship NASCAR Truck Series team. Newcomer Walter Pecora had brought out his #9 machine for the first time all year. And although Pecora wasn\u2019t able to start due to mechanical gremlins, he made it known that it wouldn\u2019t be his last time with the tour this year. Along with those came the host of usual suspects, hoping to add their name to the GNSS history books. Burns shows his immense muscle early, trying his hardest to put the luck that has plagued him and his team behind. To no one\u2019s surprise however, Mayfield is on the charge early and moves into second while Schacht fights the handling of his car. The lap 20 competition caution is not at all what Burns wants to see as he has cruised out to a sizable advantage. CRA Street Stock winner Cole Baxter has an issue under the caution as his window net has fallen. He\u2019ll take it to pit road to right the wrong but teammate Mayfield is all over Burns. Burns holds strong on the outside, but Mayfield puts the power down and clears Burns. Now it\u2019s Henriksen\u2019s turn to battle the #18 of Burns but the #18 maintains. Behind, a great battle rages between East, Schacht, and Jamie Mosley. They fight tooth and nail as Mayfield comes home with the win. Burns gets his best finish of 2025 in second followed by Henriksen, East, and Schacht.<\/p>\n<p>Mosley goes from sixth to first for the start of the second race, sharing the front row with Schacht. Mosley jumps out to the early lead while it\u2019s Henriksen and East making the early charges. Joining that fray will also be Burns as Mosley continues to lead. That changes in a handful of laps however as Henriksen and Burns pounce on the fact that Mosley\u2019s car begins to build loose. While Henriksen pulls away, all eyes are on the battle for second between Burns and Mayfield. Mayfield peeks his nose underneath Burns and makes it work, now setting his eyes on the #46 of Henriksen. Behind them, Schacht has to pull his car down pit lane and is unfortunately done for the night with mechanical failure. We stay under green but not for long as Mosley and Stapleton collide for sixth. Mosley spins into the outside wall and sustains damage as does Stapleton. Thankfully, both are able to continue as this will set up a late race shootout for the win. Mayfield breathes down the back bumper of Henriksen and makes one last dive on the last lap, but it won\u2019t be enough as Henriksen takes the thrilling victory. Mayfield hangs onto second followed by Burns, East, and Baxter. Battling back from the invert in both races, Mayfield takes both Howe Racing Enterprises Hard Charger Awards. <\/p>\n<p>The butterflies are already churning as our next stop takes us to breathtaking Franklin County Raceway, a track that always produces edge of your seat action each time we visit.
