Racing returns to Barre, Vermont tomorrow night at the “Nations Site of Excitement” Thunder Road International Speedbowl for Super Thursday! The Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Models will hit the track for round one of the “King of the Road” hunt for 2026. With the Memorial Day Classic being rained out till June 21st the Late Models will finally get the green flag on their 2026 race season. The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers are ready to rumble for their second event of 2026 as their points season started on Community Bank 150 Sunday alongside the Milton CAT American Canadian Tour. The Tigers will run for 50 green flag laps tomorrow to kick off Thursday night racing.
The rk Miles Street Stocks started 2026 off with a bang forcing the track to run two 25 lap features as 40 entries rolled through the gates back on Sunday, May 3rd. The Streeters will return tomorrow for a special 30 lap main event during Super Thursday.
The main event of the evening will be the return of the New England Super Modified Series as they will go green for 75 of the fastest laps of the season. The Super Modifieds will bring speed to a different level when they turn 9 second laps around the Barre high banks tomorrow night.
Make sure to get out to Thunder Road tomorrow night as we kick off the Thursday night program with nothing but beautiful weather in site. The pit gates will open up at 3:00pm with first round of practice starting off at 4:15 as the traditional 7:00pm Post Time returns as we kick things off with the Late Models as they will also be the first feature of the evening with a 65 lap main event in honor of the 65th season of racing at Thunder Road!
