This Saturday, May 2nd the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to the Oxford Plains Speedway for the first time in nearly 35 years. A track that plays host to one of the biggest Super Late Model events in the country (OXFORD 250) will host the ground pounders of the Whelen Modified Tour this weekend in the All States Materials Group 150.

Fans have seen select Tour Type Modified races at Oxford over the years, with touring series such as the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and the Modified Racing Series. The ⅜ mile flat oval puts on a show with any type of car that hits the speedway.
Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event already has its biggest headline story as drivers make the trek up route 26. Four-Time Whelen Modified Tour Champion Justin Bonsignore has withdrawn from the next two Whelen Modified Tour races starting with this Saturday’s return to Oxford Plains, and the May 16th date at Seekonk Speedway. Bonsignore released this morning “We will take this time to continue to invest in our program and come back stronger. The decision to not compete in these two events is not related to health.”

Joining the stars on the Whelen Modified Tour will be the Oxford Plains Speedway regulars. The Super Late Models will headline the weekly racing action with all Oxford division races being streamed live on Racing America as Flo Racing will have all things NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour!

Be sure to get out to Oxford Plains Speedway this Saturday or tune into the live broadcast. The VT&NH Racing News powered by Fast One Motorsports is excited to be on the property to cover the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event this weekend!
