After torrential downpours following second Late Model practice last night Thunder Road officials made the decision to postpone NESTN.tv Twin 100s night to Friday, July 10th with a normal start time of 7:00pm. Three inches of rain fell within an hour last evening at the Barre high banks turning the “Nations Site of Excitement” into the town swimming hole.

What was set to be one of the most anticipated events of the 2026 season, with 2000 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Bobby Labonte in action behind the wheel of the Dale Shaw owned ACT Late Model, Mother Nature spoiled the party on Quarry Hill. Officials made the very difficult decision to move Thursday’s racing card back one day to July 10th. Unfortunately with the Arca Menards Series racing today at Limerock Park in Connecticut, Bobby Labonte will be unable to make today’s race as he will be trackside at Limerock mentoring/driving coach for young Max Reaves. Labonte did mention in an interview that he would like to make a return to Thunder Road on another Thursday night.

Moving forward to tonight’s presentation pit gates will re-open at 3:00pm with practice set for 5:00pm and a normal Post Time of 7’ O’Clock. The North East Short Track Network presents a massive card of racing action with Twin 100s. The annual Flying Tiger 2k returns as twenty-seven cars took time in yesterday’s practice. Twenty Late Models also made the trip to Thunder Road for NESTN.tv 100 night.
